The
Episcopal Building: 
Built in 1609 by Mons. Rao Grimaldi which
bought the "great house"
for 300 "onze" (Lit. 3,825) is situated in Cathedral square
on the side of the "House of the City" (Town hall). When
the building was built, Mons.
Rao donated to the King as new residence
of the Prelates successors.
The palece is splendidly built with splendid
graven stones and an attractive garden.
In the prospectus, a beautiful portal with
two pillors above which are carved the noble weapons of the Mons. Rao.
It suffered huge damages subsequently to
the earthquake
of the february 1783.
In the twenties Mons. Ballo (50° prelate)
redecorated the palace with polychrome morble pavement and wall decorations.
The chapel is adornet with an artistic altar
(1700) with a marble statue of Lady of Trapani.
The numerous works of art that are found
in the various salons belong to the Diocesan Museum of the Prelate.
The
Town - Hall
It is placed in the medioval "Duomo"
Square. In the middle of the front of the building there is a marble armorial
beanings of the Town, symbolized by an eagle with an effigy of St. Lucia.
The historical archive is one of the most
complete and interesting in the
Province. There are ancient documents and manuserifts, bound in parchment,
the greatest number discusses several administrative activities ouch as
"Civil Court, "Giuratoria Court and notarial deeds.
A particular interest presents the "Giuliana",
a series of eleven volumes in which, about 1750, the Notary Parisi nade
a summary of the most deeds, the "Red Book of the Major", in
which were registered precious documents.
Basile
- Vasari Mansion - House 
Built in 1600, it is situated inside peculiar
small "Bando" Square. The front
of the mansion, mudamaged till now presents a splendid portal of stone
and armorial bearings of the family.
