Introduction:
     Santa Lucia del Mela, a hilltop town of the hinterland rises on the enchanting and delightful on the slopes of the hill Mankarru, on whose peak the mighty massive structure of a castle dorminates the plain of Milazzo.
     In this introduction, the social-cultural association "Father G. Parisi Mela Projed" aims at contributing to the promotion of the landscape, artistic, and cultural beauties of the territory, that like an archive, are waiting to reveal its treasures.
     Father G. Parisi of the Third Regular Franciscans Order, an eminent monk and scholar whose memory the association wants to honor, testified the deep love of these lands with memorable publications, the result of many years of patients research and deep love of these lands with memorable publications, the result of many years of painstaking research and deep studies of the Mela valley.
     Aware of this enormous potentiality we are convinced, in light of the ephemeral and bankrupt industrial development that has characterized the Milazzo hinterland, that the card to play for the economical welfare is cultural tourism.
